With contract talks stalled and the opportunity of a strike inching nearer, the union representing Hollywood actors introduced late Tuesday that it had agreed to the studios’ request for federal mediation to attempt to bridge the divide.
SAG-AFTRA, which represents hundreds of actors in movie and tv, stated that it had agreed to a “last-minute request for federal mediation” from the Alliance of Movement Image and Tv Producers, the group that represents all main Hollywood studios.
