SYDNEY — Retired tennis champion Ashleigh Barty on Tuesday introduced the start of her first baby.
The previous No. 1 participant, who retired simply over 15 months in the past, revealed on social media that she and husband Garry Kissick had welcomed a child boy.
“Our lovely boy. Welcome to the world, Hayden!” the Australian wrote on Instagram alongside a photograph of the new child.

The three-time Grand Slam champion who spent greater than two consecutive years at No. 1 within the rankings retired on the age of 25, simply two months after successful the 2022 Australian Open title.
Barty received the Wimbledon title two years in the past and the French Open in 2019.
