If Washington were a faceless opponent, then this game could be put in the category of a Wisconsin, but it’s a rivalry game, so the stakes are raised. While any game between the Ducks and Huskies is intriguing, I’m not sure that Oregon will have much trouble with this Washington team. After a trip to the national championship game last year, the fall-off has been drastic under Jedd Fisch in 2024. Washington got blown out by Iowa last week, losing 40-16, and they’re 4-3 on the year with an impressive win over Michigan, but brutal losses to Washington State, Rutgers, and the Hawkeyes.
You throw out the point spread in a rivalry, but the talent disparity in this matchup is bound to be wide.
