The International Brotherhood of Teamsters is proud to recognize April as Autism Awareness Month.
The Teamsters Union will be celebrating the contributions that our members who are living with autism have made to our union and their workplaces. Our union draws strength from the diversity of our rank-and-file members. The Teamsters recognize that different physical and cultural qualities make individuals unique and deserving of respect.
Through the work of the Human Rights and Diversity Commission and affiliates across the nation, we are fighting every day to ensure that Teamsters and Teamster families with disabilities are treated with dignity and respect, and are able to perform their work without the fear of discrimination or abuse.
By standing together, we can ensure that every Teamster gets the support and equal opportunity needed to be successful.
