The pricing for the 2025 Lexus GX has been revealed, along with a few tweaks to standard specifications and equipment. However, the biggest change from this turn over to a new leaf is the pricing, which sees a significant hike across the range, including an over $3,000 increase in the more hardcore models. However, there’s a good reason for that, benefiting those who will buy the premium rugged SUV for its intended usage.

Increase Off-Roading Capability For 2025
The huge price increase in the Overtrail and Overtrail+ trims can be attributed to the standard one-inch suspension lift for the rugged models, increasing the ground clearance to 9.84 inches. Both trims are also exclusively equipped with electronically controlled locking rear differential, Crawl Control, Downhill Assist Control, Multi-Terrain Select, Panoramic Multi-Terrain Monitor, and Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (E-KDSS) – all working in concert to enhance the GX’s off-roading chops.

Lexus GX Generations: Everything You Need To Know In One Place
The rugged GX SUV never lost its off-road talent and reputation for reliability over the years, but it gained a lot in terms of comfort and luxury.
Lexus has made memory settings standard across the range, which means even the base Premium can have its seat, steering wheel, and side mirror settings stored without paying extra. The Torsen limited-slip center locking differential and the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 are also both standard equipment on all GX models.
Arriving In Dealerships Soon
Much of the 2024 specifications have been carried on to 2025, including the twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 engine that makes 349 horsepower (more powerful than the previous generation’s V8) and 479 lb-ft of torque. This mill is paired with a 10-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission. The GX has yet to receive its more pedestrian brother’s I-Force Max four-pot hybrid setup, which can expand the options with a more economical choice.
The 2025 Lexus GX will still be assembled at the Tahara plant in Japan, arriving in American dealerships in early 2025.
