- The 2025 Sentra is powered by a 149-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.
Nissan has announced pricing for the 2025 Sentra. Despite a minor increase, the good news is that the compact sedan remains a bargain, with all three trims coming in below the $25,000 mark. As one of the most affordable vehicles in the automaker’s lineup, you may think the Sentra is rather drab and dreary. It certainly won’t set your hair on fire, but the 2025 Sentra offers exceptional bang for your buck.
Nissan
Nissan Motor Corporation is a Japanese automaker founded in 1933 and the parent automaker of Infiniti and formerly Datsun. Nissan produces a wide variety of mass-market vehicles, including popular SUVs like the Rogue, sedans like the Sentra, and trucks like the Nissan Frontier, but is also responsible for iconic sports cars like the Nissan Z and GT-R. Since 1999, Nissan has been part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance (the name changed when Mitsubishi joined in 2016).
There are three trims to choose from, with each grade offering more equipment than the next. However, all variants receive a comprehensive infotainment system. The S receives a seven-inch touchscreen, while the SV and SR receive an eight-inch display. All models benefit from Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity. Changes have been kept to a minimum – the Sentra received significant updates as part of the MY2024 facelift.

Three Trims To Choose From, But They’re All Affordable
Things kick off with the Sentra S. It is equipped with Nissan Safety Shield 360, which includes several driver assists, including High Beam Assist, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Rear Automatic Braking, and more. A 60/40 split-folding rear backrest also forms part of the package.

The super-cheap Versa may be almost gone, but the Kicks will pick up the slack.
The SV builds upon the base trim with 16-inch wheels, Intelligent Cruise Control, two extra USB ports, and SiriusXM Radio. Customers can opt for an SV Premium package that adds several nice-to-haves, including an eight-speaker Bose sound system, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, 17-inch alloy wheels, a surround-view monitor, and a power-operated sunroof.
Top-Spec SR Receives Plenty Of Luxury Features
Sitting at the top of the 2025 Sentra pile is the SR grade. This model adopts a host of sporty details, including a rear spoiler, 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, and more. Customers can also specify two-tone paintwork, pairing a black roof with the following colors:
- Aspen White Tricoat

Inside, the SR trim benefits from heated front seats with “reddish-orange” interior stitching accents. Like the SV, the SR is also available with a Premium package that adds a heated leather steering wheel, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, a power-operated sunroof, and more.
Just One Engine to Choose From
All 2025 Sentra models are powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 149 hp and 146 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via an Xtronic CVT, which may not appeal to overly enthusiastic drivers but will safely and economically do the job of getting from point A to B. While unconfirmed, reports suggest that the Versa will be killed off (alongside several other Nissan sedans), leaving just the Sentra behind. A redesign is expected in 2026, and will likely arrive for MY2027.
