In a surprising turn of events, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is coming to PC, over eight years after the game was first released. Galaxy of Heroes was first released for mobile devices in late 2015 when the hype around Star Wars was enormous thanks to The Force Awakens, and at last, it’s coming to a new platform.
It’s been a strong few years for Star Wars video games. 2023’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was a critical and commercial success, and the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws looks extremely promising ahead of its release sometime this year. Recently, the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake received an encouraging update, after a period of concerning silence surrounding the project. Hopefully, this trend of solid releases within the franchise will continue going forward.

A Star Wars TV series recently brought an iconic character back into the fold, one who would be a great fit for the series’ games.
In an email interview with Game Informer, it was revealed that Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is coming to PC after being exclusive to mobile devices for over eight years now. The updated release will feature an increase to 60 FPS, anti-aliasing, and higher resolution settings, as well as an adjusted layout for the PC version of the game. Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is Coming to PC
Since Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes was first released in late 2015, developers EA Capital Games and EA Mobile have done a great job of continuing to update the game with fresh content frequently. With so many new Star Wars films, TV shows, and games released since 2015, there has been plenty for the studios to choose from. Over the years, updates have added playable characters from projects such as the sequel trilogy, The Mandalorian, and The Bad Batch. There are still some important characters missing from Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, but overall it’s a stacked cast.
Hopefully, the PC release of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes indicates EA’s intention for the game to stick around for a while longer. There are plenty more Star Wars projects upcoming in the next few years, and it would be great to see more of the characters implemented into Galaxy of Heroes. The game’s meta is always changing with the addition of new content, so it will be interesting to see what the best teams in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes might look like if characters from projects such as Outlaws, Andor, or The Acolyte are added in the future.
