The eufy 2K Video Doorbell is almost 40 percent off ahead of Amazon Prime Big Deal Days.
Video doorbells have always felt a little odd to me, but I’ve gotten so used to having one at my front door that I now have them in a variety of places in my home as an inexpensive security system option. That might be weird in and of itself, but hey, wherever I can save a bit of cash, it’s fine with me.
That’s why this deal from the security company eufy appeals to me: It has a variety of features that make it worth the grab, even if it is a slightly older model from the company. (Often, the best time to grab something is when a company is trying to clear stock for new models.)
Features include customizable zones, a motion sensor, 2-way audio, local data storage (no monthly fees!), a 4:3 aspect ratio for a head-to-toe view of visitors or intruders, and the option to go with a battery or a wired connection. The 2K video is decently clear, too, and the doorbell can be connected to Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
The biggest reason I like this deal? The separate storage uses AES-256 data encryption to keep your footage private and easily accessible. Yeah, you can go cheaper with other companies but you’ll likely end up paying more in the long run for video storage which, for me, negates any up-front savings.
This deal is part of Amazon’s early deals on Prime Big Deal Days (October 8-9), so it may not be around for very long. Grab it while it’s happening!
