Gordon Murray Automotive, the patron saint of V12 engine, is preparing to reveal the hottest and final version of the T.33 supercar. The confirmation came from Gordon Murray himself during an interview with Autocar, while also divulging some details about the third member of the T.33 lineup, following the coupe and the T.33 Spider.

According to Murray, the final T.33 variant will be, unsurprisingly, called the T.33s, and it will be “tougher and more focused.” The iconic designer and engineer didn’t disclose the weight and performance figures of the upcoming T.33s, but confirmed to the British publication that it would be a track-oriented road car, differing from the hardcore version of the T.50, the T.50s Niki Lauda.
“Quicker, With More Downforce”
Murray confirmed to Autocar that the upcoming T.33s would be quicker with more downforce than the standard version, though he did not provide any exacting information about these changes. Note that the regular T.33 weighs over 2,360 lbs, producing up to 331 lbs of downforce at 150 mph. Further improvement to these numbers would mean an aero package, just like what was added to the sweet-sounding T.50s.

As for the Cosworth V12, the publication claims the possibility that power-dense 12-pot mill will produce more than the standard model’s 607 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque, with the rev limit going over 11,100 rpm. We’re not expecting much in this regard, though, as track performance has always been the focus of the hotter GMA models.
A Goodwood Debut Is Very Likely
Murray didn’t say the exact date of the T.33s’ debut, though the timeline set fits right into the usual launches of other GMA models. The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a very likely candidate for its reveal, happening sometime in July 2025. Like other GMA models, production will be limited, likely below 100 units, with a price tag presumably breaching the $2.5 million mark.

Buyers of high-end supercars typically keep them hidden away as investments, but buyers of the GMA T.50 are putting miles on their cars.
As to what’s next after the completion of the T.50 and T.33 production by 2028, Murray told Autocar that a completely different car is on the cards, to be built on a “brand new platform again – a brand new motor car.” Whether this new GMA supercar will be an EV is still a mystery at this point, but it’s not far-fetched.
