The latest Honkai: Star Rail leak reveals the treasure chest count for new Penacony zones that will be released in version 2.2 in May.
A new Honkai: Star Rail leak reveals how many chests players will collect in the upcoming Penacony zones. Honkai: Star Rail is currently in version 2.1, which offers two event banners, Words of Yore and Laic Pursuit, that promote Acheron, Luocha, Gallagher, and some other limited characters. The space RPG by HoYoverse runs interactive events, including Tides of War and Vignettes in a Cup; players can now participate in and get bountiful rewards.
Lately, a batch of Honkai: Star Rail leaks have surfaced online, teasing what new content might be featured in update 2.2. Some of these leaks, which come from credible sources, claim that characters like the Harmony Trailblazer and Boothill will make their way onto the roster in the upcoming update. There will reportedly be various freebies, including Stellar Jades and Light Cones. In addition, Honkai: Star Rail‘s version 2.2 will bring several quality-of-life features, including a recommendation system for traces.
A Honkai: Star Rail leak from MadCroiX has revealed the chest count for new Penacony regions that will be released in version 2.2. As it turns out, players will collect up to 40 treasure chests in the Dreamflux Reef and the Penacony Grand Theater regions. They will also reportedly find at least 32 loot boxes in the SoulGlad Scorchsand Audition Venue zone.
Honkai: Star Rail Penacony Chest Count for Version 2.2
- SoulGlad Scorchsand Audition Venue: 32
- Dreamflux Reef: 19
- Penacony Grand Theater: 31
According to beta leaks, these new regions will be released in Honkai: Star Rail version 2.2, which is expected to go live in May. Like other Penacony regions, they will feature NPCs and explorable buildings.
Honkai: Star Rail‘s Penacony consists of multiple sub-regions, in which players can collect chests to earn rare items like Stellar Jades and relics. Each sub-region contains a different number of treasure chests, some of which are locked behind Elite enemies. Usually, these loot boxes are found next to the walls and in the corners of the rooms. It’s important to note that they don’t respawn, meaning once players open a box, it will be gone forever.
Following the release of Honkai: Star Rail version 2.1, leaks about the next version have become more frequent. Recently, one specific leak indicated that a new Toughness mechanic will be introduced alongside a Penacony boss that looks similar to godlike beings mentioned in the game’s story. This combat mechanic will give enemies multiple layers of Toughness gauge, which means players will get them into the Broken state multiple times. If the leak is true, it could be a buff for characters whose kits are based on Break Damage and Break Efficiency.
