CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) –
It’s over. Guardians win 7-0.
Emmanuel Clase dominates the ninth to finish it out.
After 6: David Fry delivered a two-out, two-run double in the top of the frame to get the Guardians their first runs since the first inning. It’s now 7-0 Cleveland heading to the bottom of the inning.
Mid 5: The Guardians are into their bullpen. Cade Smith came on with two outs in the top of the 5th to record the final out, striking out Kerry Carpenter to end the inning.
Bibee was driven from the game by Parker Meadows who lined a bases-empty single to right the batter before.
Bibee goes 4.2 shut out innings striking out six, he is not eligible for the win.
Mid 4: Tanner Bibee gets a huge 5-4-3 double play off the bat of Spencer Torkelson to calm the inning. The Tigers had runners and 1st and 2nd with nobody out. McKinstry bounced to first to end the inning moments later.
5-0 Cleveland headed to the bottom of the 4th.
After 2: Still 5-0 Guardians.
1st inning: The Guardians offense exploded for five runs in the frame highlighted by a Lane Thomas 3-run homer off of Reese Olson.
Zach McKinstry registered an error at third on a ball hit by Jose Ramirez that sparked the uprising.
5-0 Guardians.
