90+1′ Arsenal 2-2 Liverpool
As seven minutes of added time beyond the 90 minutes is announced, Arsenal have the ball in the back of the Liverpool net.
But referee Anthony Taylor had blown his whistle long before Gabriel Jesus tapped in, so it was a dead ball and could not have counted.
Replays show it was the right call. The ball (albeit accidentally) hit Kai Havertz’s arm as he won the ball in an aerial challenge, leading to Taylor’s (correct) whistle.
Havertz then rushed onto it, chipped it over Kelleher, barged Alexander-Arnold on the line (probably a foul anyway), before flicking it back to Jesus, who fired it into the empty net.
As I say, right decision. Never a goal, in every sense. Liverpool do bring on Endo for Curtis Jones, who has been a bit disappointing today after a stellar performance in the 2-1 win against Chelsea.
