If you’re looking for a new laptop to handle all the AI-enhanced software being thrown at you, these new Inspiron machines might fit the bill.
Seems like AI is in everything these days, so if you’re looking for a new laptop, you’ll want to choose something that has the processing power to handle that. The four new laptops that Dell just released will definitely give you some options.
In an announcement sent to Lifewire, Dell revealed that its Inspiron 14- and 16-inch 2-in-1 laptops and the Inspiron 16 Plus and 14 Plus laptops are available starting today. With several configurations available now, and more coming down the line, there are options to suit most of the computing situations you’ll find yourself in.
Starting with the 2-in-1 options, Dell has both 14- and 16-inch laptops available. The 16-inch 2-in-1 is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, has optional built-in Intel Arc graphics, and an option QHD+ Mini-LEDF display. The 14-inch version has two options for processors: Intel Core or AMD Ryzen 8040 Series. Both sizes also feature the 360-degree hinge that lets you convert the laptop into a table with four different modes to meet your needs.
Also available today are the Inspiron 16 Plus and the Inspiron 14 Plus. The 16 Plus offers an Intel Core processor, built-in AI Intel Arc Graphics, and Nvidia RTX Graphics which can be upgraded to the GeForce RTX 4060. You can also opt to upgrade your memory to DDR5 and upgrade to the 2.5K display.
The Inspiron 14 Plus also has an Intel Core Ultra processor, built-in AI Intel Arc Graphics, and DDR5 memory, but weighs only 3.5 lbs and has “outstanding battery life and ExpressCharge,” according to the press release.
All the new laptops are available in Ice Blue, but only the Inspiron 16 2-in-1 and the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 with the AMD process are available in Midnight Blue. Those machines also feature Windows Studio Effects with AI-enabled video chat features (though, that doesn’t appear to be the case for the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 with the Intel Core Ultra processor).
These machines are available starting today, on Dell’s website and “at select retailers.” Dell also said additional configurations for the Inspiron 16 2-in-1 would be available soon as would the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 with the AMD Ryzen 8040 series processor.
