Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Johannesburg. They discussed the prospects for ending the war.

“Minister Hakan Fidan met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Johannesburg,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on its Facebook page. According to CNN Türk, the ministers assessed the process of ending the Russian-Ukrainian war during the meeting.
“Fidan and Lavrov also discussed the latest talks that took place on this topic,” the TV channel notes.
As Ukrinform reported, on February 18, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited Turkey. On the same day, the US and Russian delegations held talks in Riyadh.
