Ford teaser for 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show
The 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show is still more than a month away but in its lead up Ford has announced today that it will be making no less than four global debuts at the German show, including the reveal of a major new design concept.
So far, all we have is this teaser image which gives away few details except an aggressive looking front-end for the concept.
Additionally, Ford has also revealed that it will make an announcement about its next Focus-based performance car, reigniting rumors that a sporty coupe version of the car could be built. However, it could just be the long-awaited Focus ST, which we’ve already seen in concept form as well as in numerous spy shots.
Finally, one of the global debuts is expected to be the production version of the B-Max concept we saw earlier this year.
“Ford plans to make a strong statement at the Frankfurt Auto Show, with several very exciting global product reveals and our significantly expanded show stand,” said Stephen Odell, chairman and CEO, Ford of Europe. “We’re excited to be showing customers our best-ever vehicle line-up and a special glimpse of the future.”
That expanded show stand Odell is referring to is a massive 34,400 square-feet arena that will not only include stages for the new cars, but also a test track to allow visitors to actually drive some of Ford’s new products.
Press days for the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show kick off on September 13. In the meantime, follow our full coverage of the event by clicking here.
