The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed that Ukrainian Air Force units struck a Russian stronghold near the village of Yelyzavetivka in Russia’s Kursk region. This location was being used to launch drones for attacks against Ukrainian defenders in Sumy region.
As reported by Ukrinform, the General Staff announced this on Facebook and shared a corresponding video of the strike.
“Yesterday, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a high-precision strike on an enemy military facility near Yelyzavetivka, Kursk region. As a result of the strike, a platoon stronghold of the 28th Rifle Battalion of the 60th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces was destroyed. This site was being used for launching drones that attacked Ukrainian defenders in Sumy region,” the statement reads.
According to the General Staff, this strike is part of systematic measures by the Ukrainian Armed Forces aimed at neutralizing threats and weakening the military potential of the Russian forces.
“The enemy must understand: any aggression against Ukraine will have inevitable consequences.”
