Genesis has just stuck a set of tracks on one of its GV60 EVs. The resulting GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle is a go-anywhere in the snow electric that looks like something a Bond villain would have lurking in his mountain lair – just waiting for 007 to snag it as he makes his dramatic escape.
Warm up your conspiracy theories and grab the tinfoil hat, because Genesis revealed its coolest model yet at the World Economic Forum 2025. Why there? Because the WEF happens in Davos, Switzerland, high in the Swiss Alps. So Genesis brought its snowmobile to the Ameron Davos Swiss Mountain Resort, the perfect place for this luxury snow machine to be put to the test.
Plunging Through forests And Snowstorms
Genesis designed the concept around the idea of performing rescue support tasks in rugged mountain terrain and horrific mountain winter conditions. We’re not sure why a GV60 and not something more suited to the task, but we’re also not ones to look a guest car with tracks in the mouth. It could be a good companion to the RAV4 Toyota made to do the same thing in 2021.

One perk of using an EV, Genesis points out, is the silent operation. It says that the EV powertrain reduces noise pollution. We’re thinking that a lack of engine noise helps prevent starting an avalanche that cascades down on you, leaving the rescuer needing to be rescued.

The SUV is equipped with faux guns on the roof and hood.
It has big snow tracks under carbon fiber flares to stop bystanders from getting pelted with debris. It has sports seats for comfort, and Genesis installed medical supplies and emergency communication and warning systems to help rescuers do their jobs.
Gear Mounts On Almost Every Surface
The GV60 MIV concept has a custom roof rack for getting even more gear to the scene of an emergency. A slide-out rack in the cargo area holds more gear, including a stretcher, and has slide-out drawers to make everything easy to access. Plus a modular attachment rack on the hatch to help fit even more gear.
Tow hooks for getting other vehicles unstuck and more LED lights than the lifted truck in your rearview mirror help it get around at night. V2L power through the GV60’s charge port, one of the coolest features of EVs, lets you power up critical gear when the MIV is doing its job.

2024 Genesis GV60 Has Something No Other EV Has… Yet
Lovers of gasoline cars will appreciate this feature.
While a Genesis GV60 AWD wearing tires can go up to 248 miles on a full charge of its battery, don’t expect numbers remotely close to that with tracks on a mountain. On the plus side, even at the 15,000-foot mark, which is the highest peak in the Swiss Alps, the GV60 will still have every one of the 429 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque a Performance AWD can deliver. Not something any gas-powered cars can say.
Plus you don’t need all that much range. The longest ski slope in the world (which actually happens to be in Davos) is only 7.6 miles long. And you can coast back down, recharging the battery.
