This new watch has a durable build and lots of features aimed toward outdoor adventure types.
Outdoor adventuring can be hard on tech gear, but Amazfit has released a new smartwatch designed for people who are “passionate adventure seekers.”
Amazfit unveiled the new T-Rex 3 smartwatch in a press release sent to Lifewire. It’s a ruggedly designed smartwatch with features meant to appeal to those who enjoy outdoor adventures but also want the benefits of a smartwatch. The company says it has a 25-day battery life, 100 hours of continuous support in GPS mode, and a 1.5-inch AMOLED Gorilla Glass screen.
The T-Rex 3 offers up to 2000 nits of brightness, data displays in red, green, and orange for night-time displays, and more than 170 Sport Modes, including sports like biking, fishing, hunting, and even skydiving. The T-Rex 3 also supports free-diving up to a depth of 45 meters and includes various templates for strength training actions.
The dual-band GPS capabilities of the T-Rex 3 allow you to use maps on various terrains and includes route navigation. It also has an offline feature that helps you stay on track, even when there’s no data connection.
The T-Rex 3 can access Zepp Flow, which Amazfit calls the “first fully integrated AI assistant for smartwatches.” However, Amazfit offers multiple backup options and promises “robust privacy options ensure that users have full control over their data, safeguarding their personal information and location details at all times.”
The new watch also pairs with the Helio Smart Ring from Amazfit for “a unique health tracking ecosystem that covers you 24 hours a day… that can provide monitoring of physical recovery indicators such as sleep, Readiness, HRV, RHR, EDA. The Zepp app streamlines data from both devices to deliver comprehensive tracking for greater personalization, productivity, and coaching options.”
The Amazfit T-Rex 3 is available now in Black, Cangshan Green, and Red Rock for $299.
