Injury Updates From The Seahawks’ Week 5 Loss To The Giants
The Seahawks lost a couple of defensive players to injury during Sunday’s loss to the Giants.
The Seahawks got several players back from injuries for Sunday’s game against the Giants, but one of them outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, was unable to finish the game.
Nwosu, who missed the first four games of the season with a knee injury, made his 2024 debut on Sunday, but he left the game in the second quarter with a thigh injury and was unable to return.
Also leaving the game due to injury were cornerback Riq Woolen (ankle) and outside linebacker Derick Hall (foot). Woolen was able to return to the game after initially exiting in the second quarter, but later left the game again and would not return.
Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald didn’t have many details on those injuries after the game.
“Riq has an ankle, we’re not sure what that looks like,” Macdonald said, “Chenna had a thigh.”
Nwosu was one of four defensive starters, along with defensive end Leonard Williams, linebacker back Jerome Baker and safety Julian Love, who was back in action after missing all or some of last week’s game due to injury.
The Seahawks were again with defensive tackle Byron Murphy II (hamstring) and outside linebacker Boye Mafe (knee).
