On the night of Monday, February 17, drones attacked an oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region.
That’s according to BBC News Russian, Ukrinform reports.
Krasnodar Governor Venyamin Kondratyev confirmed the attack by Ukrainian drones. He stated that drone debris had fallen in the village of Ilsky, Seversky District, damaging 12 homes and injuring a local resident.
The Telegram channel Shot, citing local residents, reported that the Ilsky oil refinery was targeted.
“At around 01:00, a series of loud explosions were heard in the sky. Preliminary reports suggest that several aerial targets were shot down, with debris from one UAV falling near the local refinery, igniting a fire. Emergency services are currently working at the site,” the report said.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed to have intercepted and destroyed 90 Ukrainian drones. According to the ministry, 38 drones were shot down over the Sea of Azov, 24 over the Krasnodar region, 15 over occupied Crimea, seven over the Black Sea, two in the Kursk and Rostov regions, and one each in the Bryansk and Belgorod regions.
Additionally, Russian military officials alleged that a Neptune-MD guided missile was destroyed over the Sea of Azov.
