Seeing Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s love story unfold up close has been quite the experience for the tight end’s family.
During an appearance Monday on “Today,” Kylie Kelce — who is married to Travis’ older brother, newly retired Eagles center Jason Kelce — was asked about the couple, whose relationship continues to dominate headlines this NFL offseason.
“Ultimately, if Trav is happy we’re happy. We are always cheering on Uncle Trav, it’s such a treat to be able to do that on and off the field, but it’s been amazing,” said Kylie, who shares daughters Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 1, with Jason, 36.
First linked over the summer, Swift, 34, broke the internet in September when she attended her first Chiefs game of the season at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on Kelce, also 34.
The pop superstar attended 13 games last season, with Swift watching much of the Chiefs’ postseason run with Kylie and Jason.
The group cheered on Kelce during Super Bowl 2024 in February, when the Chiefs won their third championship in five seasons with a 25-22 overtime victory against the 49ers in Las Vegas.
In the weeks following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win, Jason called it a career after 13 NFL seasons, all with the Eagles.
Kylie said Monday on “Today” that she hopes the couple’s children understand the mark the Super Bowl champion made on the community.
“I hope that ultimately they end up understanding that their dad had an impact on Philadelphia in a way that was wholesome and that he understood the city and enough that he wanted to stay there and raise a family there, and enough that he loves the people that he worked with and will continue to love them and that he did things in the city for charities and things like that. He gave his blood, sweat and tears to the city and it was out of sheer love and commitment, and I hope that my girls see that,” Kylie said.
A former sixth-round pick out of Cincinnati in 2011, Jason finished his career with the Eagles with six First-team All-Pro nods and was named to seven Pro Bowls. He was part of the Eagles’ championship roster in 2017.
Though Jason currently co-hosts the “New Heights” podcast with brother Travis, it’s been speculated he could transition to broadcasting.
ESPN is pursuing Jason in a “Monday Night Football” shakeup, with Robert Griffin III’s pregame spot “in jeopardy,” The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand reported last week.
Amazon Prime, CBS and NBC are also said to be interested in Jason’s services.
When asked about a potential sportscasting role for Jason, Kylie said Monday, “Nothing is off the table.”
