The New iPad Mini 7 is Here: Discover Its AI-Powered Upgrades

Apple just released a new iPad Mini, and it’s better than ever. The iPad Mini 7 has a faster chip, more storage, and works with the Apple Pencil Pro. You can order it now starting at $499, and it’ll be available next week, on October 23.

Announced in a press release this morning, one of the biggest changes about this new iPad Mini is that it’s much faster than the previous one. This is because it has a new A17 Pro chip. That means everything you do on it will feel smoother and quicker, whether you’re playing games or just browsing the web. Plus, it starts with 128GB of storage, double what you used to get, for the same price as before.

Thanks to Apple Intelligence, this iPad Mini also has some cool new features. For example, imagine you’re writing an email; Apple Intelligence can help you write more clearly, suggest better words, and summarize text. It’s like having a personal editor right there with you. 

Siri can now understand you better, even if you don’t say things perfectly, and can even remember what you were talking about before, so your conversations feel more natural. Also, use the Apple Pencil with the new Image Wand tool to easily convert a sketch into a full image. If you want to create cool images from scratch, just describe what you want, and Image Playground will generate it for you. Editing photos is also easier, with the new Clean Up tool available to wipe away unwanted objects.

iPadOS 18 also includes upgrades to the Calculator, Notes, Photos, and Messages apps. These changes introduce Math Notes, Smart Script, Audio Recording and Transcription, themed browsing of your photos, and scheduled texts. The updated OS also lets you customize your Home Screen so you can position apps and widgets wherever you like.

The cameras are better too. The updated 12 MP back camera with Smart HDR 4 takes sharper photos, and the 12MP Ultra Wide front-facing camera on the iPad Mini 7 is great for video calls. It even works with the Apple Pencil Pro now, which gives you more ways to be creative.

This iPad also comes in new colors, blue and purple. It also has faster Wi-Fi and 5G, so you can download and stream super quickly.

The iPad Mini 7 is available for pre-ordering today with three storage options: 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB.
