Mansory debuted its latest one-off build, based on the Ferrari SF90 Spider, and it sure is something. Sporting the tuning company’s signature blend of dive planes, tailfins, and carbon fiber bits, the Mansory SF90 also includes some performance upgrades to bring power from 986 to 1,100 horsepower, with a top speed of 221 mph (up from 211 mph) and a 0-62 mph time of 2.4 seconds (down from 2.5 seconds), so at least there’s some speed to go with the dubious style.

Money Can Buy Speed, But Perhaps Not Taste
The latest Mansory SF90 is based on the company’s F9XX modification scheme that’s shared with the Tempesta Celeste, which includes the power upgrade and minor suspension tweaks, as well as the carbon-rimmed YT.5 Air wheel design measuring 21 inches up front and 22 inches in the rear. If the changes stopped there, we could be happy, as the turbine-style wheels are a subtle alteration that underscores the car’s increased performance. However, since this is a Mansory product, “just enough” isn’t nearly enough.

That’s why the already-aggressive SF90 design is festooned with a variety of carbon fiber add-ons, including the blue-tinted weave for the front splitter, rear apron, engine cover, and split spoilers. The fussy rear diffuser and dive planes coordinate perfectly with the equally garish side air intake trims and fender vents, assaulting your eyes as they pass over every inch of the F9XX. The whole car is dipped in an admittedly lovely shade of warm metallic silver, although a curious band of blue spans the front end for some reason.
At Least The Materials Are Nice
Inside, the Mansory SF90 Spider is just as bold and overstyled. Bright blue upholstery is the order of the day, and the leather sports seats come in an appealing pattern that looks a bit like snowflakes or stained glass. The floor coverings are also leather, with bold herringbone and pinstripe stitching. Carbon elements appear liberally on the steering wheel and center console, which also gets an Italian flag motif for the drive selectors. To Mansory’s credit, the cabin looks very nicely constructed, although the multitudinous textures and sea-of-leather design isn’t to everyone’s taste.

And that’s probably just how the company’s customers like it, despite widespread opinions to the contrary. Mansory’s builds are seldom subtle or traditionally tasteful, but they are always attention-grabbing and exclusive – not to mention expensive. The customizer doesn’t cop to the specific prices of its made-to-order builds, but on lesser Ferraris, Mansory cosmetics can cost $200,000 more than the base car, while performance and handling tweaks add still more to the price. Don’t be surprised if the SF90 Spider, which starts at $575,000 from Ferrari, costs more than a million bucks once Mansory is done with it.
