These projectors include smart features that create a home entertainment experience that goes beyond just watching movies.
Samsung has introduced its newest additions to the home entertainment market, The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 ultra-short throw projectors. According to Samsung’s press release on Tuesday, these models are designed to provide high-quality viewing experiences with 4K resolution, enhanced sound, and a suite of smart features.
A key highlight of these projectors is their integration with Samsung’s Tizen OS, offering access to Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and other streaming services. The projectors also cater to gaming enthusiasts with the Samsung Gaming Hub, which allows for cloud-based gaming directly on the projector without the need for a console.
Additionally, both models include AI features like upscaling for enhancing content to 4K resolution and Vision Booster, which optimizes brightness and contrast based on the room’s lighting conditions. For those interested in personalizing their space, the Custom Ambient feature lets you project various widgets, photos, and videos to add a unique touch to home decor. Both models also function as smart speakers that respond to your voice.
The Premiere 9 and 7 also deliver in terms of picture and sound quality. The Premiere 9 features triple laser technology for improved color accuracy and brightness, while both models support 4K resolution on screens up to 130 inches (120 inches for The Premiere 7). With a brightness of 3,450 ISO lumens for The Premiere 9 and 2,500 ISO lumens for The Premiere 7, the projectors ensure clear and vivid images. Built-in Dolby Atmos speakers further enhance the viewing experience, with The Premiere 9 offering 40W 2.2.2 channel speakers and The Premiere 7 providing 30W 2.2 channel speakers.
These projectors also come with extensive connectivity options, including the ability to mirror content from smartphones and integrate with Samsung’s SmartThings platform for managing smart home devices. Designed with a minimalist aesthetic, the Premiere projectors feature a fabric finish and are easy to install, making them a versatile addition to any home.
The Premiere 7 ($3000) and The Premiere 9 ($6000) are available for purchase in the United States, Canada, and China, with additional regions to follow later this year.
