Free ebooks can be hard to find but this site lets you sort them and tells you where to download them.
I admit I’m a reader. And I read a lot. So the fact that cozy season—that time when there’s no good excuse not to curl up under a blanket with a cup of tea and a good book—is starting has me already building a reading list that will carry me through the end of the year. And every book I plan to read is free.
Many sites where you can find free e-books are chock full of classic books. But I’ve read most of those that interest me, so when I go looking for a book, I want a newer title. That’s where BookBub comes in. BookBub is a website where you can discover e-books, and the site curates prices so you can find the best price for the book you’re looking for. For me, that price is free.
The books are all available on retailers you’ll probably recognize (Amazon, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble), and each title includes a link to the retailers where it’s available. But what I like best is that there are numerous filters you can use to drill down and find the books you want. I’m currently in a fall reading mood, looking for all things scary, fantastical, and mysterious.
Using the filters in BookBub, I’ve unearthed a list of over 100 titles, including “Between Ink and Shadows” by Melissa Wright and “What Haunts Me” by Margaret Millmore. On the less supernatural side of things, “The Clockmaker’s Secret” by Jack Benton and “Beneath the Frost” by Taylor Stark both look like they’ll fit right into my reading list. When I’m ready to warm up a bit, there are plenty of Romantic Suspense titles to choose from too.
That’s the nice thing about BookBub: There are dozens of categories to choose from. Some of the books are free, some are not, but you can sort so you only see the free ones. You also don’t have to sign up to use the website, though if you do, they’ll send you regular emails that list all the new titles that are available in areas you tell them you’re interested in, which makes it super easy to stay on top of your free ebook reading list.
Now I’m ready to curl up with a good book.
