Cat-flavored (and more) indie games are coming to your Switch real soon.
If you’re not immediately in love with the title of this cozy cat-theme indie game for Nintendo Switch, I don’t know if we can be friends.
Nintendo released its latest Indie World Showcase Wednesday, a video full of all the upcoming cozy, smaller, quirkier games coming to its system over the next several months.
Topping the list is Little Kitty, Big City, which is all kinds of adorable. Developed by Double Dagger Studio, the title promises a “whimsical journey” as you play the titular kitten trying to find your way back home. You’ll explore the aforementioned city, finish various quests, and help out a bunch of other adorable animals along the way. Plus? It has more than 40 hats your cat can wear, and if that’s not a selling point, what is? The game releases May 9, and you can pre-order it today in the eShop.
It’s not all cat games, or is it? Cat Quest III is also slated for an upcoming release, though you’ll have to wait until August 8 to try the sequel to two of the best little RPG games on the platform. Cat Quest III, developed by The Gentlebros and Kepler Interactive, puts you in the role of a “swashbuckling feline privateer” and you’ll sail the Purribean (not sorry) in search of a long-lost treasure. Of course, the seas are full of enemies (Pi-rats!), who are after you and your treasure, so you’ll have to fight and level up as you go. You can pre-order the game today in the eShop, and there’s a free demo available, as well.
Other titles shown off during the showcase include SteamWorld Heist II, another sequel from developer Thunderful, a strategic RPG that has you fighting off, well, rust, I think. This one comes out Aug. 8 as well. Sci-fi-themed 3D action-platformer Europa is set to arrive later this year with a free demo on the eShop later today.
Super Evil Megacorp’sTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate springs into action on the Switch as a timed exclusive this July, while Yars Rising from WayForward Technologies and Atari is set to grace the console later this year.
Sticky Business, a cozy business sim where you run a sticker shop is ready for your download today, while Lorelei and the Laser Eyes (Simogo and Annapurna Interactive) is set for release on May 16.
There are a ton of other great indie games coming, as well, and you can check out all the details in the Indie Showcase video above.
