New AI features abound, making the new Galaxy Buds3 series essential gear in the Samsung ecosystem.
Samsung announced quite a few new Galaxy products in Paris on Wednesday, including Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip 6 phones, Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Ring, and a new series of earbuds, the Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro.
Both models of Buds3 come in silver and white, with similar dimensions, though the Buds3 Pro are a little bigger and a bit heavier. The Buds3 has a one-way driver at 11mm, while the Pro features an enhanced two-way set of drivers with a 10.5 dynamic and 6.1mm planar driver. The Buds3 Pro have a little bigger battery at 53mAh, while the Buds3 have a 48mAh one, which means you’ll get another hour or two of music playback or talk time on the Pro model.
Both offer ultra-high-quality audio at up to 24bit/96kHz when connected to select Galaxy devices, including the most recently announced Galaxy Flip6 and Fold6. The Buds3 feature active noise canceling (ANC), while the Buds3 Pro include ambient sound voice detection that reduces media sounds so you can hear conversations.
Both the Buds3 and the Buds3 Pro feature Bluetooth 5.4 and Auto Switching, with similar sensors and compatibility with Android 10 and above. They both boast IP57 water resistance (immersion in up to 5 feet of fresh water for up to 30 minutes), but only for the earbuds, not the charging case.
Galaxy Buds3 start at $179.99, while the Buds3 Pro come in at $249.99, and you can pre-order starting July 23.
